Pumpkin Patch: Take 2

The pumpkin patch had a pumpkin carving contest, so Gunnar and I went with our neighbor and her son. Gunnar had a mini meltdown so I didn't actually get to carve my pumpkin, but it was still fun. I ate enough chili and drank enough hot chocolate to make up for it! :)

Pumpkin Patch

This was so much fun! I have never picked my own pumpkin, much less been to an actual pumpkin patch! It was just beautiful. They had a little train for the kiddies and a tractor ride through the fields. We didn't do either of those, but we picked out three of the most awesomest pumpkins that we could find!

Buildin' a Bear

Gunnar and I took a trip to Boise last week to visit with Steph and the girls. I thought it would be so cute for them to make Gunnar his first Build-A-Bear. They have close to a million animals from there, so they are old pros:) It was so stinking cute to watch! They picked out the teddy bear and put a lullaby in his right paw so Gunnar could go to sleep with him. Then they each picked out a heart, kissed it, rubbed it on his forehead, had him kiss it, and stuck it inside the bear! Made my heart just melt:) Emily appropriately named him Sleepy.

Happy Halloween!

How cute is this little monkey costume?! I know! Just one more reason to love our playgroup...we had a costume exchange and I got this for $5! I can't wait to take him to Boo at the Zoo!

Pow-Pow-Power Wheels

Well, not quite. But I did get him this totally cool dumptruck that he can ride on or walk behind. And it makes the coolest sound effects. Adam says it sounds just like his dump truck at work:) Gunnar's is much cooler though cause it came with legos...lol.

Da Bears

Finally we gathered up the courage to take Gunnar to Iggy's to watch the game. We had a blast there every Sunday last football season but have yet to go this year. Adam quickly grew tired of listening to the game online every week, so we all got dressed in our favorite Bears garb and headed over to watch the game.
Gunnar was a bit worried about the score at halftime...But, not to worry...we won! Take that, Detroit!

Playtime with Dadda

Gunnar is just getting so good at getting around. He stands briefly on his own and even ventures to take a few steps at times. Mostly he cruises around by crawling around and up and down and back around again. It's all fun and games until he tries to pull himself up on the dvd rack...or stick his fingers in the heating vents...or head for the bathroom cabinets...or tries to eat the dog treats and/or toys! Gah!

Nursery Time

I recently signed up to volunteer at our church nursery once a month. I figure it's the least I can do for dropping Gunnar off there when I go to church every Wednesday night! Besides that, I am always looking to meet other moms. Two weeks ago was my first time behind the scenes and there just happened to be no babies that needed to be watched! Gunnar was pretty excited to have the place to himself...and that mom actually stayed there to play with him! I just love watching him play.

Fun times at the zoo

Our zoo just closed for the season so I took advantage of our passes by taking Gunnar a few times this last week. It was nice because the place was pretty much empty and the animals were all quite active. Adam missed out, but I got us tickets to Boo at the zoo for Halloween. Stay tuned for pics of that!
