Kisses?! Gross!
I know this picture is blurry, but it completely captures the moment I am trying to portray. Gunnar is just plain silly. If we give him kisses, this is what we get in return. Even if he is the one who started it! He throws his head back, scrunches up his face and starts panting through his nose. It's hilarious! And because it's so cute it has the absolute reverse effect of what he hopes to accomplish, which is obviously for us to stop kissing him!
Look mom, No hands!
Gunnar is such a busy boy, he definitely keeps us on our toes! He started walking right around Thanksgiving, after a two month hiatus from his first steps...guess he had some bad memories of those first few meetings with the ground! He is pretty much running at this point. He develops new tricks and quirks every day. This one was particularly funny when he was determined to not use his hands to drink from his cup. He literally picked it up with his teeth and lifted his head to get some. He cracks us up constantly with his silly faces and fun personality.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
We had fun decorating the house this year, though Adam has yet to put up the outside lights. Although he only has two days left, he apparently thinks he has more time since we are doing Christmas with my parents when they come up in January for Gunnar's birthday party. Last year I refused to allow the decorations to go up since I knew I would freak out about taking them down just days before I had Gunnar. This year we decided to do the fake tree thing, but we have a Bears theme going. We have blue lights and garland and painted some clear ornaments orange. I'm still working on our Bears stockings and tree skirt, which is why I will cut a small amount of slack for the lights not being up. Very small:)

"That's Santa! I know him!"
Oreo Face
Gunnar's first Oreo! Iggy's closed down (I know!) so we had to find a new venue for watching our football games. We chose Applebee's, which is awesome! Gunnar has had a lady friend there from the very first time we went with Aunt Heidi when Gunnar was only 3 weeks old. She is there every time we've gone in since and was very excited to plop down a stack of Oreo's in front of Gunnar. That pretty much sealed the deal for her being his bff!

Our first Thanksgiving
Well, not really. It was our second Thanksgiving together AND our second Thanksgiving for this year. Although I suppose it was the first Hansen family Thanksgiving. We do things a little backwards around here:) It was, however, my first time ever making a turkey. Note: Adam is the only one ever seen with the actual turkey! It was pretty fun though. We spent the day gathered in the kitchen making all kinds of food for just the three of us. The dogs were pretty excited too, although only Fish can be seen because wherever Fish is...Hanibal isn't! And everything turned out absolutely delish!

Hogle Zoo
After leaving the house at 4am to drop Chad and Landis at the bus depot in Salt Lake, we decided to spend the day at the zoo. It turned out to be quite cold (duh!), so we zoomed through it in a few hours. It was so fun to see all the cute new baby animals! A baby giraffe, baby elephant, and even a baby crocodile. Gunnar loves watching the animals. He's been to the zoo more times in the first year of his life than I have in all of my life! But even the most avid animal enthusiast can only stay awake so long:)

Thanksgiving
This year we spent Thanksgiving with Adam's uncle Danny's wife's parents. We did a lot of camping with them this summer and it was nice to see them again. They have over 100 grandkids and great grandkids (No, seriously!), so Gunnar is just part of the crew! The food was great and the company was amazing, as always. Danny and Jill have five kids so the fun just never stops! They are always right up in Gunnar's face...and he enjoys every minute of it! Gunnar learned to climb stairs, it was the first time he had been around any. And then after all that action, he passed out on dadda while watching the football game:) What a day!

Uncle Chad!
My brother, Chad, came out to visit us for the week of Thanksgiving and brought his girlfriend, Landis. I was very excited to see him and for him to see Gunnar again. They are expecting a baby boy next June and I am very excited to meet my new baby niece or nephew! We drove down to Salt Lake to pick him up at the bus station and hung out in Utah for the day before driving back. Adam had to work until Thursday, so I'm sure Chad was bummed they didn't get to hang out more. All in all it was a good week, lots of laying on the couch and lots more eating...just the way I like it!

First Haircut!
It was time. He was looking a little mad scientist...Albert Einstein must be in the geneology somewhere. And we're taking family pictures next Saturday, so no better time than the present! We went to Sport Clips, which was Adam's favorite place to get his hair cut. (Notice I say was? hehe) Gunnar was very patient, he enjoyed watching football as he got his haircut. But the lolli was the best part, by far!

Winter is here!
