Long Lips

This is his newest funny face. I'm still not quite sure how he does it exactly, but it cracks me up every time!

He is just getting so big. He popped through four of his top teeth within a matter of two days, making the total of the teeth now six. The bottoms are pretty easy to see but he doesn't like to show off the top ones just yet. Huh, guess he must be shy:) He is crawling around like crazy. He doesn't like that too much either, only enough to get him to someplace he can climb up. He loves climbing up on EVERYTHING! And he leaps from one object to another with no abandon. Picture a flying squirrel. We are getting better at not gasping when he falls so that he doesn't cry every time he hits the ground, but it sure is hard! He has let go of the ottoman and taken a step or two toward me before falling, but I would venture to guess those aren't quite his first steps. It's close though. Any day now I fully expect to see him running!

Playgroup

Gunnar and I joined a pretty awesome playgroup that meets twice a week. I love that I have finally found some other moms to hang out with while Adam is working. Gunnar loves it because they all have bigger, better and more expensive toys to play with!

Speaking of work...Adam has recently taken a job in Jackson, Wyoming, which is about 100 miles away. He stays in what he calls a "man shack" there during the week and comes home to us on the weekends. It's been hard to be apart, especially so for him to be away from Gunnar when he seems to be changing almost daily. We are trying to decide if this is going to be a long term thing so that we can ultimately make the decision to move closer. That comes with it's own issues as well, being that Idaho Falls is still going to be the closest "town" as far as any big shopping goes. I'm confident that things will work out as they are supposed to and I will be sure to keep you posted as to how that ends up:)

Eastern Idaho State Fair

We went to the fair on the last day it was here. Adam said I had to try a Tiger's Ear. What's that you say? Never heard of a Tiger's Ear? Yeah, me either. So, I tried my first this year at the fair. Yumm-O! How could I say no to fried dough covered in cinnamon sugar and smothered in honey butter? I know! Gunnar loved watching the animals. The goats were right about his eye level:)

And while searching for a parking spot we found this:) He's a lab/golden retriever mix and we named him Fish.

End of Summer

Well, I do believe we have camped our last trip of the summer. I counted it all up and we spent 33 nights camping between Memorial Day and Labor Day. What a blast! We definitely got our outdoor time in this year! I guess Adam breaking his leg was a blessing in disguise:) We finally have found the perfect spot for us, right on the south fork of the Snake river with lots of trees for shade and privacy. And about this last trip I finally got down the whole packing thing, so we should be good to go for next year! I can't wait!

Roaring Springs

We took little Emily to Roaring Springs in Boise for her 9th birthday. Gunnar had a blast. Well, we all did:) But Gunnar just loves the water! We are thinking we should get season passes for next year!

"Girl, Can I hit ya back?"

He love love loves his cell phone! Not as much as he loves OUR cell phones, but still. Adam dug up one of his old phones from the retired cell phone graveyard and we charged it up for Gunnar. I thought these pics were pretty funny:) I'm thinking I should send them in to E*Trade and give that baby a run for his money!
