Our 9-day-Multiple-location Camping Trip!

This camping trip was so awesome! Our first time "roughing it" with the camper. Adam took us out to the South Fork of the Snake River. And now the series of unfortunate events...we arrived just in time for mosquito infestation. It was awful! I literally had fifty bites in the first few minutes.

Needless to say we packed up just as soon as we got unhitched and leveled out. Poor Adam had his work cut out for him! We went up the road to our usual camp spot with hook-ups, got unloaded and finally had some hot dogs (our first meal of the day) around 10pm. Then woke up to find out they were paving and we would have to move! So, we decided to go back to see about the infestation. We ended up finding the most beautiful spot right on the river. It was wonderful. We spent four nights there before heading back to the hook-ups and meet up with our family for their reunion.

Never a dull moment in the wilderness though, I must say. We ended up finding a dog and after careful consideration and moving him with us to Juniper (hook-ups) he ended up jumping out of the damn truck. What a headache he was. Adam fittingly named him Hobo:) I guess he's better off wherever he ended up than where he would have ended up...the pound!

Hannibal hated Hobo. Really hated him. So much so, in fact, that he ran away the night before we left for Juniper. We were really sad. Adam wanted to say a little prayer and I refused stating that he was already dead. (Adam wanted to be sure I put that part in here.) We hung out all morning waiting for him to come back, and eventually heard him yelping. Adam went off to look for him and we soon followed. I just happened to look up and see his little ears. Yay! He was alive! Oh, and when I say up, I mean about 200 feet up stuck on a cliff. I have no clue how he got up there and apparently neither did he since he couldn't find a way back down! Adam had to climb the cliff in his flip flops to save the dog. My hero! I suppose the prayer helped:) Thanks, Adam. Hannibal was covered in cactus but after a few days of rest he is just fine:)

Oh, and lots of wildlife. More than I've ever seen! A ton of moose and a few baby deer and even a mama turkey with her babies. Very cool to see so close up. Adam screamed for me to come outside one night...a moose was floating down the river! A very funny sight!
